EXTENDED ABSTRACT SUBMISSION – SL-SWCS’25
You are invited to submit your research work in the form of an extended abstract to the Sri Lanka Student Workshop on Computer Science (SL-SWCS’25) through the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT) web portal.
Please note that the extended abstract will be used solely for the review process, and only the 250-word abstract will be included in the SL-SWCS’25 proceedings.

📌 Important Notes
- All Submissions must be made only via the CMT system. Submissions via email or any other means will not be accepted.
- The main author must be a student.
- The submitted PDF file must be anonymised by removing names, affiliations, and any self-identifying details, as all submissions will be reviewed through a double blind process.
- Author details must be provided only in the designated fields within the CMT submission form.
- Plagiarism is a serious offence, including the use of others’ work without proper credit or referencing. Self-plagiarism, such as reusing figures or text from the authors’ own previous publications, is also prohibited.
- Changes to authorship, including adding or removing authors, changing the corresponding author, or altering the order of authors, are not permitted after a manuscript is accepted.

Submissions must be original and not under review or published elsewhere. Multiple, redundant, or concurrent submissions of the same or substantially similar work to other conferences, or venues are strictly unacceptable.
📄 Formatting Guidelines for Extended Abstracts
Please prepare your extended abstract using the following format:
- Length: Maximum of 2 pages (Single Column), excluding references.
- Font:
- Title: Times New Roman, 16 pt, bold
- Body: Times New Roman, 12 pt, Single-spaced.
- File Format: PDF only.
- Language: English.
📄 Required Structure:
Please organise your extended abstract clearly and logically, following the sections below:
- Title: Clearly state the title of your research work.
- Abstract: Maximum 250 words (Include 3 – 5 keywords at the end).
- Introduction: Present the context and motivation of your research problem, summarise relevant literature, and clearly state your main contributions.
- Methodology: Describe the research methodology, techniques, or algorithms employed.
- Results and Discussion: Highlight the key findings and analyse their implications.
- Conclusion: Sum up the main contributions and potential future work.
- References: Include a list of cited references using the IEEE citation format.
📝 Submitting through CMT
Please follow these steps to submit your extended abstract:
Step 1: Access the Portal

Step 2: Sign In / Create an Account
- If you do not have a CMT account, click “Register” to create one.
- If you already have an account, simply sign in.
Step 3: Create a Submission
- Click “Create New Submission”.
- Fill in the submission details:
- Title of your abstract.
- Abstract (a 250-word version for indexing).
- Author(s): Add the full list of authors (names, emails, affiliations).
- Enter author details only in the submission form; do not include them in the PDF.
- Ensure the main author is a student.
- Subject areas: Select relevant research areas.
- Upload the PDF of your extended abstract (anonymised).
Step 4: Submit
- After reviewing your input, click Submit.
- You will receive an email confirmation.
